The General Services Department (GSD) supports the operations of state government by providing essential services, including procurement, risk management, facilities management, transportation services, and printing services. The Risk Management Division (RMD) protects the state¿s assets by managing insurance programs, liability claims, and loss prevention initiatives. RMD provides risk assessment, coverage, and mitigation strategies to safeguard state employees, properties, and resources.

This position serves as the liaison between RMIS and SHARE, ensuring accurate payment processing, notations, and reconciliation of attorney fees across both systems. It is also responsible for processing payments related to claim expenses. Payments are batched daily from RMIS to SHARE. Additionally, this position assists with auditing RMIS claim file data as needed.

Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or finance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver license. Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certification once employed.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.

How does it get done?
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter payments and notations in RMIS to ensure accurate tracking of attorney fees and claim-related expenses.
- Process litigation fee payments to contracted attorneys through a portal where invoices are uploaded, reviewed, and approved via workflow.
- Ensure summary invoices are properly recorded and reconciled in SHARE using purchase orders (POs) and contract modules.
- Maintain accurate records in RMIS for attorney fee payments associated with each claim, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Process claim-related expense payments, such as those for court reporters, expert witnesses, and investigators, batching payments to SHARE for check issuance.
- Collaborate with the RMIS vendor to resolve payment-related system issues.
