The General Services Department (GSD) supports the operations of state government by providing essential services, including procurement, risk management, facilities management, and more. The Facilities Management Division (FMD) oversees the maintenance, construction, and operation of state-owned buildings and facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and efficient for employees and the public.
Why does the job exist?
This position is responsible for database administration duties to support the entire FMD Capital Projects Planning Bureau by managing complex administrative functions related to FMD's core databases (AiM, Autodesk Build). This role involves conducting comprehensive management analysis on performance metrics related to asset management, capital projects, and both predictive and preventive maintenance operations.
How does it get done?
The primary responsibility of the Database Administrator is to oversee FMD's AiM & Autodesk Build databases.
- Maintain and provide regular reporting metrics to FMD Capital Project Managers on performance measures related to technical and professional service delivery systems, using division-established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide routine reports to GSD / FMD leadership, including monthly, quarterly, and annual organizational performance reports, legislative tracking, reporting, and bill analysis.
- Maintain and update FMD¿s databases of record (AiM, Autodesk Build), revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and manage work control processes within these databases. This includes collaborating with vendors for database upgrades and ensuring database records are accurate and up-to-date.

All executive branch state agencies under FMD's jurisdiction, political subdivisions, local governments and the general public.

The ideal candidate has qualifications and experience in the following :
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in an office setting with exposure to Visual / Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer to include working with computers, copiers and printers, and phone usage with extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, kneeling and crawling. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
