The America's Job Centers are located in numerous communities statewide. The friendly staff in each center assist businesses with posting their job openings on www.jobs.state.nm.us, special recruitment, analyzing hard to fill jobs, layoffs, job fairs, and skills assessments for hiring. For job seekers, staff assist with job search, job referrals and placement, and customized skill development like interviewing skills and resume writing.
Interviews will be conducted within 10 days of the job closing.

To assist job seekers find meaningful employment and assist employers in hiring qualified applicants.
How does it get done?
Matching job seeker's skills with employer's needs through job development, training, skill assessment, counseling services, interviewing, collaborating and networking.
Attend local events to include : rapid hire events, resource fairs, school orientations, and any other community events to increase the job seeker traffic in the local WCC offices.
Work with the business team to identify job vacancies and placement for the job seeker.
Provide presentation and workshops for the job seeker.

Ideal Candidate

Will have experience in making cold calls for services provided by the WCC office.
Minimum Qualification
Associate degree in Social Services, Education, Government, Human Resources, or Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in customer service, administrative support, business administration, human resources, recruitment, placement, processing personnel transactions, and / or eligibility determination in a private or public sector and / or social welfare program. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Background check is required for this position.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual / Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Sitting and standing for long periods of time with repetitious hand movement, bending, pulling and reaching. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Travel will be required to include overnight stays throughout New Mexico.
