The IT Data Analyst IV will support leadership to meet the agency's goals by conducting data needs assessments to attain actionable mission-driven results.
The IT Data Analyst IV will:
Conduct extensive research, manage and maintain agency-related data sets of varying sizes using a variety of standard analysis tools such as Excel, Access, SQL, Power BI, R and ArcGIS, and/or other programming tools such as SAS or Python;
Ensuring consistency and integrity of data and;
Interpret data, including statistical values, and may provide advice and consultation regarding implications and/or make recommendations for adjustments.

The IT Data Analyst IV will discern patterns and correlate a diverse set of information to conceptualize and then translate ideas from abstract to concrete, transforming data into an audience-appropriate story to formulate actionable strategies and solutions to problems, addressing questions and concerns presented by leadership and the agency.
The IT Data Analyst IV is responsible for:
Ensuring data integrity and security by developing and executing necessary processes and controls for data used and provided in analytics;
Meeting with various levels of leaders to understand barriers to agency success requiring analytical support;
Identifying, defining, and implementing new data-driven strategies and processes for the organization;
Coaching the analytic team for continuous development in both hard and soft skills pertaining to consultative analytical functions and;
Gaining business knowledge and processes through job shadowing, conversations with stakeholders, and participation in strategic meetings.
Who are the customers?
Key customers include HCA Secretary, HCA Deputy Secretaries, Directors, and CIO.
Due to the vastness of the HCA data, external customers may include other State Departments/Agencies and Legislature.
Ideal Candidate
Key customers include HCA Secretary, HCA Deputy Secretaries, Directors, and CIO.
Due to the vastness of the HCA data, external customers may include other State Departments/Agencies and Legislature.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field with nine (9) years of experience directly related to position at time of posting or related professional certification as determined by the hiring agency. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling thirteen (13) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Office setting with extensive computer usage, may require after hours work, and some travel
