This position contributes to the on-going support in operations and modernization of numerous business systems. The Quality Assurance Analyst III is critical during the testing phases of the Software Development Life Cycle by contributing to the documentation, development, integration, and coordination of procedures utilized to improve testing and software quality. Responsibilities include working with business analysts as well as critical team members to develop scripts and/or automation based on modules within the supported business application. This position utilizes tools and solutions to ensure an organized consistent method of testing that will produce clear results during the testing phases of operational and project development. This position will also contribute to future state process improvements directed toward team roles and responsibilities during the user acceptance, quality assurance, and performance testing phases of the development life cycle. The QA Analyst III will also contribute to leveraging modern tools and services that become available as the agency increases its cloud presence.

The Quality Assurance Analyst Ill is responsible for verifying correct functionality of IT systems by testing and analyzing processes, applications and/or services. This position will take a leadership role in developing, executing and managing a robust testing process for the Agency. The incumbent in this position will participate with management in strategic planning for testing policies and procedures, and will be responsible for ensuring testing standards and methodology within the agency are adhered to.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Information Technology and four (4) years of experience in software programming, systems testing, or systems quality assurance (QA). Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
