Why does the job exist?
This position is responsible in providing custodial services in the Housekeeping Department.
How does it get done?
Operate various types of cleaning equipment (manually/electronically) such as buffers, wringers, scrubbers, vacuums, etc. Wash bed frames/clean mattresses. Use/combine cleaning solvents safely according to manufacturers' recommendations. Floor stripping, sealing, and floor finish application. Vacuum, carpet shampooing, cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, windows, trash removal in both patient care areas, offices, and bathrooms/restrooms. Follow safety precautions in using toxic/caustic cleaning chemicals. Maintain regular attendance, ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and various shifts as needed.

Eighth Grade Education.

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver¿s License.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an indoor setting and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles or caustic chemicals. Lifting, pushing, pulling, transferring, and/or carrying up to fifty (50) pounds.Position may be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
