Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date.
This posting may be used to fill multiple positions.
Due to available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $16.91 per hour.
Why does the job exist?
Position will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to include sorting mail, using the mail machine, collecting and sending mail from inmates and staff; while monitoring inmate mail to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
How does it get done?
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) months experience in office administration and/or customer service. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which may include daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
