Why does the job exist?
The Quality Control Supervisor will:
Supervise Quality Assurance Specialists and other quality control staff;
Review Quality Control case files to ensure accuracy and correctness in benefits issued;
Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Quality Control office;
Assist in other types of reviews statewide;
How does it get done?
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for:
The direct supervision of five (5) to six (6) Level 1 Quality Control (QC) reviewers;
Completing 100% review of all cases assigned to the unit;
Ensuring adherence and the correct application of state and federal policies, standards and procedures to case reviews prior to final case submission;
Coaching, training and the development of level 1 reviewers assigned to their unit;
Ensuring that employees have all the tools necessary to complete their job assignments;
Managing work force based on organizational goals, budget consideration and staffing needs;

The Health Care Authority (HCA) Income Support Division (ISD).
Ideal Candidate
The Health Care Authority (HCA) Income Support Division (ISD).
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience as a Family Assistance Analyst, Income Support Specialist, Child Support Legal Assistant, and/or Child Support Enforcement Case Worker. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years will substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Frequent in-state travel with overnight stays is required.
