Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Room (Saranac Lake, NY)

Position: Immediately need an experienced RN - Emergency Room for 3 months of the contract in New York.

Title: RN - Emergency Room

Location: Saranac Lake

Duration: 13 weeks (Extending)

Shift: Nights. 12 hours. 3 days a week.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience.
• Active license in NY state.
• COVID Vaccinated.
• BLS / CPR Preferred.

Duties:

• Assess and triage patients presenting with various medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous education programs.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care preferred.
• Familiarity with primary care practices, medical-surgical nursing, and infection control measures.
• Ability to perform triage effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of working with people with disabilities is advantageous.
• Experience with travel nursing is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in performing procedures such as dialyzing patients or assisting in the operating room (OR) is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
