• Developing and presenting trainings to facility staff.
• Assisting program managers and supervisors in developing training programs that will optimize performance.
• Monitoring training requirements and deadlines.

Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.Minimum Qualifications : Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they have a bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional experience developing and presenting training programs to improve the on-the-job knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees to enable them to carry out an agency's mission.Substitution : Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.ORCandidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on a current Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list. Appointment from this eligible list would be as a Training Specialist 1 Trainee and to be advanced to the full performance level, Trainee Specialist 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.ORCandidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible list.
