This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County. Â

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Transportation. This position is located at 1 South Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27592.

The front desk receptionist shall be computer proficient using email/web-based systems and writing correspondence; they shall possess basic knowledge of and capabilities for Microsoft Office applications. The front desk receptionist is responsible for answering incoming telephone calls. The front desk receptionist will assume the primary responsibility of acting as a receptionist for the Transportation Building to control access of the front doors through the admittance process. The front desk receptionist will greet and check in visitors and contractors. The front desk receptionist will manage the visitor management system.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with customer service by phone and/or in person with diverse clientele
  • Experience reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and authenticity

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
