Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $22.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Commerce. This position is located at 313 Chapanoke Rd., Raleigh, NC 27699.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative, logistical and technical support to the Business Services Unit, which consists of an Executive Director, three departments that oversee multiple federal and state programs, initiatives and grants, and a data analytics department. Job requires the ability to research, examine and analyze complex data as it pertains to Business Services programs and special projects. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft software programs, Adobe Acrobat, and other office management systems is required in order to research and write pertinent documents and reports. The ability to recognize and introduce administrative and technical processes for efficiency and improvement as well as process development for new and growing initiatives. Communication with staff and section leadership on behalf of Executive Director and program managers is required regarding administrative, operational and technical procedures. A self-starter and team player, with knowledge of North Carolina state travel and administrative policies is ideal. Minimal travel may be requested.
