Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide consultation on employee benefits, including health insurance, disability, and supplemental insurance options.
- Interpret and apply benefits policies while advising employees and management.
- Process and maintain records related to leave, including vacation, sick, family medical leave, and voluntary shared leave.
- Prepare and distribute notifications regarding benefit enrollment, policy updates, and critical deadlines.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, payroll, and insurance representatives to resolve benefit-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal HR laws, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain HR records, process transactions, and ensure accuracy in HR/Payroll systems.
- Assist with training initiatives related to benefits and leave programs.

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:
- Experience applying of the principles and practices of human resources management in a Benefits Specific Arena
- Documented experience maintaining time entry/leave and entering actions in an integrated HR/Payroll System
- Experience administering the State's benefits and leave programs
- Proven experience with the State's HR/Payroll System (SAP GUI/ BEACON/ Fiori)
Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:
Associate's degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required
OR
2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
OR
Equivalent combination or education and experience
