**Position is eligible for a hybrid remote teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.**

The Budget Analyst II has financial budget oversight of over $200M with a diverse receipts stream that includes state, federal, resale and community block grants. The position involves considerable interaction with DHHS staff, along with federal partners, community providers and other State agencies. 

Job responsibilities include the following:
  • Serve as a fiscal management subject matter expert for EIPD, OEO, DSB, and DHH divisions.
  • Position responsible for grant management operations to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance with state and federal regulations. This includes monthly, quarterly and yearly closeout certifications as required by OSBM.
  • Analyze and resolve project allocations and cash flow discrepancies to ensure funding availability.
  • As a member of the division audit team, this position is responsible for the development and execution of corrective action plans.
  • Responsible for providing leadership, training and supervision for the activities of a Budget Analyst I.

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Experience providing feedback and resolutions to State and Federal audits including presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Working knowledge to create and maintain complex spreadsheets and import/export financial data from various subsystems.
  • Experience with budget management of different types of funding (state, formula, competitive &/or block grants).
  • Working knowledge of federal cost principles and/or CFR 200 in regards to reasonable, allowable and allocable activities.
  • Experience with state budget process, expansions requests, allocations, federal spending and financial reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or related field, from an accredited institution and four years of experience preferably including experience in accounting or budgeting; 

OR


An equivalent combination of education and experience.
