The purpose of this position is to receipt all funds presented to Caswell Center in payment of goods or services and other monies that are donated or received for residents' personal use. The Cashier prepares daily bank deposits and forwards appropriate documentation to the Eastern Controller's Office for posting. This position also handles Petty Cash requests for money in addition to ordering, counting and distributing home money for residents weekly. The Cashier's Office is balanced daily. Accuracy in work is essential. Work involves contact with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5 :00 PM, Monday - Friday

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all the following:
- Demonstrated experience of banking functions; balancing cash drawers and preparing bank deposits;
- Considerable knowledge of methods used in receiving, accounting and disbursing cash and cash items;
- Ability to detect errors in cash or cash listings with strong attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain, verify and coordinate cash accounting records from a variety of sources;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental personnel, residents and the public;
- Ability to communicate effectively, written and orally;
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook;
- Experience in using adding machine/calculator.
- Significant cash management experience in a work setting with a high volume of cash transaction;
- Ability to work independently as in a bank set;
- Demonstrated customer service skills;
