Reporting to the Associate Warden of Custody, this position is involved in the planning, supervision, and coordination of activities at a multi-custody female correctional facility. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are limited to, the following:
As of January 1, 2025, there are new increase adjustments to the state pay plan which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission, effective January 1, 2025. The new salary range will be $48,222 - $84,388. Prior applicants will remain under consideration and do no need to reapply.

The salary grade for this position is NC13 (Salary Range:$48,222 - $84,388). State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase MAY result.

Anson Correctional Institution houses female offenders in medium and close custody housing units. Anson CI offers a wide variety of educational, vocational, and training programs. Correction Enterprises operates the offender packaging operation at Anson, a partnership with Union Supply Direct through the Prison Industry Enhancement Program (PIE). Family and friends can order a package of goods from a pre-approved shopping list to send to an offender. Orders are packaged by offenders and shipped quarterly.

Reporting to the Associate Warden of Custody, this position is involved in the planning, supervision, and coordination of activities at a multi-custody female correctional facility. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are limited to, the following:
- Disseminating and interpreting rules, regulations, and orders from prison management.
- Supervising Correctional Lieutenant III’s and serving as the Officer-In- Charge (OIC) as needed.
- Conducting frequent inspections of housing units and other buildings, grounds, and posts to ascertain that officers/staff are alert, that discipline is maintained, and that assignments are being carried out effectively.
- Implementing disciplinary measures with offenders and employees on infractions of rules and working to prevent or resolve disorders such as: assaults, riots, fires, and escapes.
- Investigating complaints of offenders and making reports of such actions to higher lever officials.
- Preparing reports on offenders pertaining to their behaviors, attitudes, and work records for use on the offender classification committee.
- Organizing and conducting training for employees.
