Description of Work

The NC State Health Plan is hiring an Enrollment Specialist that will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on assigned programs such as enrollment, group and individual billing, COBRA, EDI and other programs as assigned. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with , including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, as well as retirement.

This position has been designated as Exempt in accordance with North Carolina General Statute § 126-5(c1)(23), (24).

About the State Health Plan

The North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees, a division of the Department of State Treasurer, provides health care coverage to more than 740,000 teachers and local school personnel, state employees, retirees, current and former lawmakers, state university and community college faculty and staff, and their dependents.

The Enrollment Specialist will support the Plan by documenting business requirements and workflows, developing test plans, test cases and when necessary performing user acceptance testing and providing oversight of various vendors' functions and responsibilities. This position will also provide contract management support through documentation management, tracking and reporting.

Job Duties

• Responsible for updating Solution, Testing Documents.
• Involved in Test Planning / Execution.
• Review / validate monthly audit discrepancies.
• Perform Premium Invoice validation.
• Facilitate meetings for the purpose of gathering business requirements or related activities.
