The Division of Juvenile Justice’s Facility Maintenance section employs a regional hub structure, consisting of three geographically located hubs: Cabarrus, CA Dillion, and Lenoir/Dobbs. These hubs serve the Western, Central, and Eastern regions, and operate as the primary locations for storing division hardware assets and deploying manpower for complex preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Ensure work meets all regulatory requirements that apply to maintenance, renovation, repair, and construction.
Plan and delegate work for assigned facilities establishing short and long-term priorities and deadlines.
Provide input and recommendations regarding the assigned facilities operational budget(s) related to maintenance.
Ability to direct journey level work on a variety of trades.
Attend meetings with outside contractors, vendors and Division and Departmental officials to plan and review maintenance, construction and renovation projects.
Through the use of effective oral and written communication skills, supervise, instruct, train, review and evaluate the work and performance of maintenance personnel.
Planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance for equipment and mechanical devices.
