This position is designated MANDATORY and MUST report or stay over during adverse weather events and/or other emergencies.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities landscape needs thru maintaining lawns. shrubs, flower beds.
- Assisting with the general maintenance and care of all tractors, spreaders, gang reels and mowers.
- Performing underground repairs to service lines such as water, sewers, storm sewers as needed
- Removal of snow, ice, leaves, limbs and removal of debris from the facility grounds as needed.
- Assist with the electrical department with general replacement and repairs.
- Assist with the welding department with repairs and projects as needed.
- Providing back-up assistance to all areas of the maintenance department
ABOUT BLACK MOUNTAIN NEURO-MEDICAL TREATMENT CENTER:
Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

The successful candidate will return to the Work Experience section of the application and thoroughly document, in detail, that they possess the following:
- Prior experience working in a grounds/landscaping environment.
MANAGEMENT PREFERENCES:
- Demonstrated experience using chainsaws, tractors and implements such as discs, plows, loaders, backhoe and buckets.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing and maintain ground equipment such as lawn mowers, tractors & spreaders.
