Internship Duration: 10-week internship (May 27-August 1, 2025)
Description: The North Carolina Department of Information Technology - Transportation (NCDIT-T) Project Management Office is seeking two motivated and detail-oriented interns to join our team. This remote internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project coordination and business analysis while working alongside experienced project managers and business analysts on real-world initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in a project coordinator role, supporting project scheduling, progression auditing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with business analysts on meeting facilitation and analyst activities, contributing to the development and refinement of project deliverables.
- Use tools like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI (preferred but not required) to track progress, manage deliverables, and document activities.
- Participate in daily interactions with assigned project teams, ensuring timely execution of shared tasks and deliverables.
Preferred Skills and Tools:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Teams.
- Familiarity with MS Project and Power BI is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- A technical background is beneficial but not mandatory.

- Supervisors will schedule weekly one-on-one meetings to review progress, discuss performance, and address any needs or challenges.

- 24 credit hours completed.
- Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (on 4.0 scale).
- Has legal right to work in the U.S. and do not need sponsorship.
