This position is located at 2612 N. Duke St., Durham, NC and will report to Central HR in Raleigh, NC.
The Human Resources Office serves the department by facilitating efficient and effective human resource management systems that assist managers in attracting, retaining, developing, and motivating a diverse and competent workforce.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Division HR Consultant in the Division. Regular duties include completing new hire orientation, creating job postings for the Division, completing all temporary employee hiring packages, initiating and completing most PA actions, screening delegated job postings and completing delegated hiring packages as assigned.
Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following:
- Experience using MS Office
- Experience using a database such as Service Now, NeoGov or Fiori
- Experience providing customer service through email and telephone
- Experience interpreting and applying human resources principles, practices, policies, and procedures

Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and no years of experience required; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
