This position will report to Craggy Laundry facility in Asheville, NC . This driver is responsible for pick-up and delivery of processed linen in a timely fashion. This position requires maintaining a stringent schedule for the pick-up and delivery of all linen from a number of inside and outside accounts. This position is to obey all traffic and highway regulations and operate on a timely schedule. This position requires the driver to operate safely in all types of weather.   The driver is to ensure the trailer is docked at the proper dock and the wheels chocked and jacks in place. This position has daily contact with various personnel at all accounts serviced by this plant. This employee is the person customers see and communicate with on a daily basis. This employee has public contact with vendors for parts and repairs on delivery vehicles.

This employee is responsible for tracking all preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers assigned to him/her.  The Vehicle Operator is responsible for minor repairs while on the road to maintain delivery schedule.

This driver counts all linen and clothes being picked up and delivered from each inside/outside accounts.   Position ensures that all clothing is sorted and bundled according to standard operational procedure. The driver is required to keep all laundry accounts separate and maintain accurate counts. Verifies that delivery tickets are properly signed for the purpose of ensuring proper counts.  This driver is required to report all complaints and shortages to plant management upon return to the laundry.


This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

As of January 1, 2025 there are new increase adjustments to the state’s pay plan which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission, effective January 1, 2025.  The new salary range will be $32,639- $57,117.

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:


  • Must possess a Class "A" CDL

  • Documented prior experience operating equipment associated with loading/unloading trucks including but not limited to: forklifts, electric lifts, pallet jacks, load locks, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve potential safety problems and unsafe work practices.

  • Proven prior experience of driving a tractor trailer with manual transmission.
