The primary purpose of this position is to load, transport, and unload all materials manufactured, sold, or transported by Correction Enterprise. Position also picks up, delivers, and unloads, raw materials used in Enterprise operations. Position also provides support necessary to facilitate warehouse operations. This includes participation in actual loading process, when necessary, to help distribute weight properly and facilitate deliveries or route scheduling. Position requires public contact. Position must therefore present Enterprise to using agencies in a favorable light and complete duties in a professional manner. This includes answering questions, being knowledgeable about Enterprise products and services, and providing prompt, courteous service at shipping destinations. Position needs an excellent knowledge of North Carolina geography and highway system. Finally, position is responsible for the safe operation and routine maintenance and cleaning of truck tractors and trailers.This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.As of January 1, 2025 there are new increase adjustments to the state's pay plan which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission, effective January 1, 2025.  The new salary range will be $32,639 - $57,117.  Prior applicants will remain under consideration and do not need to reapply.This advertisement is seeking to fill MULTIPLE positions :  60076713 and 60076717 and 60076724Note to Current State Employees State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position.   • Must possess a valid NC Class "A" CDL Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated prior experience operating equipment associated with loading / unloading trucks including but not limited to : forklifts, electric lifts, pallet jacks, load locks, etc.
  • Must have the ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to identify and resolve potential safety problems and unsafe work practices.
  • Must be able to drive a 10 speed manual transmissionManagement Preference
  • Minimum of three years
  • Class "A" CDL Driving experience.
