This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located in Durham - Durham County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay : $35.00 (Based on education and / or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 213 S. Mineral Springs Rd., Durham, NC 27703.

The duties of this position will be to assist the NCOVR Office of the Director coordinate, document, and achieve implementation of updated education materials, outreach efforts, incentive programs and other duties as assigned. Develop and promote educational initiatives on behalf of NCOVR to NC residents, health care providers, NCOVR partners and other stakeholders alike. Provide technical assistance to local health departments, private providers, professional organizations, and other Division of Public Health programs concerning training and other learning aides, including webinars, visuals, and in person training programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Captivate, and InDesign to design visually appealing training materials, interactive e-learning modules, and well-structured documents such as SOPs and forms.
  • Technical Writing and Content Development - Ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly educational content, including instructional guides, job aids, e-learning courses, and procedural documents tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Project Management and Collaboration - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple instructional design projects, coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, and ensure timely updates to training materials and documentation.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master's degree in Public Health Education or in Public Health with a major in public health education from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in public health education; or

Bachelor's degree with a major in health education from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in public health education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
