What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruitment Specialist position at State of North Carolina?
Talent Acquisition is responsible for the strategic recruitment, retention, development and engagement of a diverse Department of Revenue workforce.
Currently we are hiring for a Recruitment Specialist to actively seek and recruit top talent.
This position reports to the Manager of Talent Acquisition and will play an integral role in the high performing Talent Acquisition Team.
This position calls for a high level of independence, strong time management skills, flexibility and initiative.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Administering and executing recruitment processes to hire for current openings and proactively develop pipeline for future talent
- Building positive working relationships with staff members across the agency
- Utilizing the NeoGov Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to create vacancy announcements, screen a high volume of applications and refer qualified applicants to appropriate hiring managers in a timely manner
- Partnering with human resources business partners and hiring managers to understand hiring needs while identifying and resolving challenges
- Other Talent Acquisition projects as assigned
Experience utilizing NeoGov to screen and/or qualify high volume applicant pools (based on their relevant education and experience) Working knowledge of North Carolina HR state policies and procedures Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Associate degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
