Description of Work
Are you a college student (or recent college graduate) looking for a Social Work internship for the Summer of 2025? If so, continue reading to learn more about this exciting opportunity with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (DPS).
This intern will work in the clinical services / social work section with Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Specific responsibilities will include :
- Revising Parent Survey to address elements of re-entry planning and improved survey structure
- Developing a plan for increased parent participation in collaboration with social workers across the state
- Coordinating the implementation of the Parent Survey
- Collecting and analyzing parent responses
- Developing presentations of survey results for Youth Development Centers and the Juvenile Justice Sr. Management Team
The intern will be required to travel to Youth Developmental Centers located throughout the state.
This internship is expected to start on May 19, 2025, and continue through July 25, 2025. The work schedule is part-time (up to 30 hours per week), Monday - Friday. The rate of pay is $18.00 per hour.
