The primary purpose of a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is to provide direct patient care services to include assessment, treatment planning, case management, counseling (individual, group, and family), crisis intervention, and education to the patients admitted to Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. Job duties include the following:
- Case management and referral services for patients to include discharge for continued MH/SA treatment post discharge, linking/referring to community resources, consultation with team members and other community resources, and completion of documentation.
- Supervision and training of new employees, assigned graduate, undergraduate, and medical students.
- Adhere to Joint Commission and CMS requirements.
Position will work primarily Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Holiday coverage as assigned.
About the Walter B. Jones Center:
The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all of the following:
- Demonstrated considerable knowledge dynamics and treatment of substance abuse, a range of intervention techniques, as well as principles of casework and training.
- Demonstrated considerable knowledge of governmental and private organizations, resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.
- Proven skill in establishing rapport with a client and in applying techniques or assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of client problems.
- Proven ability to supervise, train, or instruct lower-level social workers or students in the program.
Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.
Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
Necessary Special Qualification Requirements - One must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.

**Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements:
A newly hired permanent full time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week).
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
(1) the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date);
(2) the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency;
