What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at State of North Carolina?
The primary purpose of this position involves case management of assigned caseload. The social worker is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, which is responsible for care and treatment of patients admitted to JIRDC. This position assists individuals and their families with admissions and discharges in addition to services at the facility. Responsibilities include performing biopsychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans with other team members. This involves the provision of social work services in the context of a multisystem approach, including provision of services to the family and orchestration of those services and resources which are needed to meet the individual’s needs.

Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; or
Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or
Master's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or
Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
