The primary purpose of the Traffic Systems Operations section is to develop and implement regional and statewide Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) strategies to improve mobility and reliability on arterials and freeways.
The TSO Section is looking for an Engineer to support advancing the TSMO culture and philosophy in all stages of planning project implementation. This position is in TSMO Planning Group and is responsible for supporting team members and supervisors with project development, contract management, and delivery of projects containing TSMO strategies.
In This Role You Will

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

In This Role You Will
- Support team members with project and contract management
- Collaborate with team members across the TSMO unit’s sections pertaining to TSMO planning topics
- Support team members with managing funding sources for TSMO projects
- Support team members in developing project scopes of work and estimates
- Assist team in collaborating with Professional Engineering Firms (PEFs) and other TSMO stakeholders to develop and implement projects
- Maintain a dashboard of performance metrics that enables data driven decisions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of TSMO planning maps/tools
- Support TSO emergency response activities during statewide activations
