The Division of Liquor Control supports Ohio’s economy by providing funding for job creation and business development through the proceeds from Ohio’s liquor industry. The division ensures Ohioans have access to the products they want by overseeing the manufacture, distribution and sale of all alcoholic beverages, selling spirituous liquor through contract liquor agencies and registering products for sale. The division promotes the responsible consumption of alcohol by educating the public, and ensuring that businesses are informed and trained on their responsibilities not to sell to underage or intoxicated individuals.
What You'll Do:
- Review liquor licensing applications for completeness and data entry
- Process applications, registrations, and permits for review and possible issuance
- Prepare letters and emails for stakeholders
- Complete office tasks like copying, scanning, sorting documents and information.

12 mos. exp. as Accountant/ Examiner 2, 66112 with state government exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned.
- Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting or 2 yrs. exp. in accounting.
- Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics, computer science or related field ; 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
