What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker position at State of Ohio Jobs?
This position will be filled according to Article 17 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the State of Ohio and the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association - eligible bargaining unit members will be considered prior to hiring an external candidate.
Preparing food for individuals (e.g., cleans & cuts vegetables/fruits; makes sandwiches, salads, dressings, gelatins & beverages; fills orders for homes such as continental breakfast and snack orders); packages food according to special diets; gets supplies from storage; ensures proper storage and rotation of food items. Mandatory hours are required of this position.
Cleans work & service area (e.g., operates dishwashing machines to clean pots, pans, dishes, cookware and silverware; cleans countertops; empties trash; mops floors; cleans ovens, refrigerators & dishwashing machines).
Assists cooks as needed; reviews facility policies; completes trainings.
