What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Specialist 2 position at State of Ohio Jobs?
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist 2 for a position available in the Information Technology Services (ITS) Section. This position will work on site at the headquarter location of 30 E. Broad St., Columbus OH.
The successful candidate will perform routine workstation troubleshooting and/or maintenance by collection of information and working with higher-level support staff regularly to respond and resolve routine Tier 1 and Tier 2 problems, including but not limited to:
- Develops and Maintains A/V standards and documentation for events.
- Sets up projectors, projection screens, switchers,cameras, and additional A/V equipment as necessary
- Manages and assists users with Teams Live events dictating needs and ensuring event coverage
- Serves as liaison between ITS and Event coordinators determining requirements for event and recommendations for spaces and setup
- Recommends additional A/V equipment to supervisors/management based on feedback from events
- Records and plans events using SharePoint calendar staging dry-runs and ensuring proper event support
- Installs, maintains, configures, upgrades and/or administers hardware and/or software
- Diagnoses, analyzes and resolves issues for customer(s);
- Provides routine Tier 1 and Tier 2 level customer support
- Independently images and/or reimages equipment in preparation of deployment;
- Maintains records of daily data communication transactions, problems and actions taken, or installation activities;
- Tests repaired items to ensure proper operation;
- Develops skill to perform quality checks to ensure efficiency and quality of agency business operations;
- Receives orientation related to mentorship and applies as necessary (e.g. definition, purpose, strategies and evaluation techniques).
- Works independently and/or in a group project setting. May work additional hours as operational needs dictate which also includes an on-call rotation pool.
