What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Repair Worker 2 position at State of Ohio Jobs?

Maintenance department serves both the Ohio School for the Deaf and the Ohio State School for the Blind. The selected applicant(s) will be assigned a primary work location at the time of hire, with the possibility of working cross campus.
Performs skilled or semi-skilled repairs:
- Makes alterations and/or repairs to buildings, equipment and wooden structures (e.g., doors, windows, walls, woodwork, floors, partitions, spot roofing, security devices, locks, HVAC, kitchen equipment);
- Repairs electrical problems (e.g., lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, motors, electrical circuits);
- Repairs plumbing problems (e.g., water lines, trap fittings, plumbing fixtures, pumps, sinks, toilets, faucets, piping, drains); if assigned and licensed, boilers.
- Cuts grass, rakes leaves, trims hedges, removes dead trees or tree limbs;
- Removes ice and snow from sidewalks and/or driveways;
- Uses appropriate equipment (e.g., snow remover, tractor, lawn mower);
- Completes preventive maintenance requirements;
- Follows manufacturer's instructions;
- Notifies supervisor of needed repairs;
- Follows all safety procedures;
- Changes oil and filter; checks transmission fluid and tire air pressure.
- Drives school vehicles as needed;
- Unloads delivery trucks, picks-up supplies.
