What You'll Do:
Serve as a Systems Improvement Consultant on continuous improvement efforts (both external & internal to LeanOhio):
- Manage assigned project teams & sub-projects that cover all phases of project management, with activities & responsibilities primarily for pre-scoping, scoping, data/information research & analysis, event facilitation & post-event follow-up meetings for Kaizen & other process improvement events within the LeanOhio portfolio of activities.
- Represent LeanOhio as a Lean Six Sigma expert & skilled facilitator for Kaizen & other process improvement events.
- Determine baseline data, relevant goals, project/process scope, & appropriate methods of engagement.
- Work directly with agency leaders & project sponsors covering all phases of project management & responsibilities involving a variety of state agency leadership, then respective customers &/or stakeholders.
- Assist in researching, applying, & implementing best practices in Lean Six Sigma tools & approaches for transforming state government.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of LeanOhio service offerings, internal processes, & supporting systems, execute & manage projects on those opportunities in alignment with strategic priorities set by the LeanOhio Director.
Act as principal training coordinator in service of continuously building & cultivating the State of Ohio's employee network of Lean Six Sigma practitioners.
- Manage planning, scheduling, logistics, delivery, & development of Lean Six Sigma training.
- In coordination with the LeanOhio team, maintain the LeanOhio Body of Knowledge which defines curriculum specifications across LeanOhio's progressive series of Lean Six Sigma trainings & certifications.
- Maintain &/or develop evaluation systems for the purposes of analyzing effectiveness of training programs, evaluating candidate applications for advanced training classes, & evaluating belt certification projects.
- Interview stakeholders to determine needs & expectations, maintain regular contact with stakeholders to verify & obtain feedback.
Develop, support, & maintain the engagement & efficacy of the LeanOhio Network.
- Maintain an accurate record of network of Lean practitioners
- Assist in the ideation & coordination of value-added opportunities for the LeanOhio Network.
- Conduct outreach to state/local government & private sector to explore potential partnerships.

- 3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal); 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.
- Or successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned; 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
