[placeholder]Supervises direct-care staff (e.g. Therapeutic Program Workers) providing role modeling & leadership & is responsible for multiple living area(s) on 1st, 2nd, &/or 3rd shift. Provides supervision of other living areas in the absence of the regular supervisor (e.g coverage of RDO’s, vacations, etc.); evaluates job performance. Recommends approval/disapproval of leave requests (e.g. vacations, personal leave, &/or sick leave) & communicates schedule changes to the timekeeper & employee; maintains cycle schedules; plans & approves all annual vacation requests; ensures adequate staff coverage per operational need (e.g., schedule & assigns available relief staff, temporary staff, & overtime staff; schedules staff to cover training sessions; coordinates staff assignments for medical appointments; completes daily paperwork for payroll/timekeeping (e.g. absenteeism/call-off, overtime, verified time reports; maintain employee attendance records; develops & maintains all applicable overtime rosters. Conducts investigations into work related injuries & illnesses; prepares & processes supervisor’s accident & investigation report; investigates alleged violation of Center’s & agency’s policies & work rules (e.g. investigates & prepares documentation, counsels’ employees & makes recommendations for corrective action). Conducts investigations into Unusual Incident Reports, interviews staff & completes required documentation; completes fire alarm reports. Coordinates communication/information pertinent to daily operations of the Center & relays same to appropriate Directors/Supervisors; maintains Unusual Incident & Protection from Harm logs & assigns investigators; reports all Major Unusual Incidents immediately to Superintendent, MUI Investigator & applicable Directors (e.g. administrative & resident); ensures compliance with Medicaid Standards & labor contract rules. Trains & orients new staff; provides Personnel with feedback on job performance; initiates corrective action when warranted; attempts to resolve labor conflicts before they become official; trains staff in policies & procedures; assures staff attend required in-services/interdisciplinary team meetings; monitors & ensures implementation of Person Centered Plan for persons with developmental disabilities utilizing proper techniques (i.e. prompt hierarchy, redirection and reinforcement). Ensures Active Treatment is consistently provided in the living area and off-unit program areas. Monitors & ensures proper implementation of support plans; assists as necessary in behavioral intervention. Contacts outside Sitter Agency when needed, serves as Information Center for visitors, serves as Communications Center with local emergency personnel; maintains security of disbursed resident funds during non-business hours; provides access to Center vehicle keys, credit cards & cellular phones; disburses employee pay checks during non-business hours; serves as Center telephone operator. Reviews & submits purchase requests for Individuals’ needs & living area needs within budget constraints; may complete purchasing of Individual’s needs &/or living area needs & completes monthly inventory checks. Assures supplies are ordered & available (e.g. kitchen requests, storeroom requests, etc). Completes environmental checks, contacts Maintenance &/or Housekeeping for repairs; assure work orders are submitted to maintain the living areas and outside grounds in good repair. Has knowledge of fire alarm system; serves on special committees/work teams to provide continuous quality improvement of processes; completes other related duties as assigned; serves as Appointed Authority Designee during all non-business hours. Provides direct care to individuals when needed (e.g. bathing, toileting, assist with meals, etc.).
