Section Chief - Education section

The successful candidate will carry out the policies of the Attorney General, manage Assistant Attorneys General and support staff, and will have a strong sensitivity to client needs. We are seeking a licensed attorney with at least seven (7) years of management experience in the legal profession.

The Education Section:

• 
  Provides advice and training on issues relating to higher education, including employment, state contracts, student privacy and discipline.

• 
  Represents the colleges and universities in federal and state courts as well as in administrative matters.

• 
  Handles litigation in federal and state courts and administrative hearings related to Ohio’s community schools (charter schools), special education services, educator discipline and licensure, territory transfer, transportation, child nutrition and public records.

Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.

Seven (7) years of management experience in the legal profession.
