The Information Systems Division (ISD) provides for the diverse technology needs of the department and Ohio’s aging network, supporting 25,000 system users. About the Role
The Senior Security Analyst role will work collaboratively with IT’s leadership team and key stakeholders to advance ODA’s capabilities with respect to security compliance, data governance, and information technology-related processes.
This role will:
- Ensure IT systems comply with cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Assess security risks, system dependencies, and privacy concerns, contributing to security design reviews and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support incident response coordination, assisting in security investigations, documentation, and remediation efforts.
- Conduct security assessments, support compliance audits, and maintain security protocol documentation.
- Assist in vendor security evaluations, facilitate security awareness training, and enhance organizational cybersecurity resilience.
To be successful, the ideal candidate will have:
- Solid knowledge of security and data privacy compliance processes
- Solid knowledge of data governance practices
- Extensive experience working within projects making recommendations through defined tasks, leading meetings, and other tasks
- Extensive experience with information system process analysis and documentation
- Excellent communication skills both with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Salary Information
Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be set at the lowest rate of the salary range. In most cases, successful employees will move up a step in the salary range within six months, with subsequent step increases occurring every year as supported by successful performance evaluation results. We also offer cost of living adjustments, longevity supplements after five years of eligible public service, and wellness incentives.
