Typical Functions
- Develop and foster relationships with potential clients; Maintain relationships with existing clients
- Research prospects for new clients within a variety of vertical markets
- Collaborate with clients on their marketing needs and goals; prepare client proposals that include our products and platforms that will best help meet the client goals
- Stay current with advertising & marketing trends to identify best options and new opportunities for clients
- Build and maintain professional networks within the tourism industry and other industries relevant to OTRD' s products
- Work to secure group subscription accounts for Oklahoma Today with companies, where appropriate
- Work to secure advertising sponsorships for opportunities as they arise
- Renew expiring contracts and pitch for new contracts
- Assist in creative briefs, spec ads, and ad design approval when necessary
- When necessary, work with the production department to produce ads that are in line with the client's goals
- Meet assigned deadlines
- Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly schedules that will meet revenue goals
- Maintain accurate records
- Deliver relevant information from clients about events and ideas to the editorial staff
- Adhere to ASME and MPA guidelines regarding the separation of advertising and editorial content
