What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Prof Coord Outpatient and URC position at State of Oklahoma?
The Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and administering behavioral health services to ensure high-quality care for clients of ODMHSAS for our Enid Outpatient and Urgent Recovery Center.
The ideal candidate will provide supervision and leadership to the Outpatient and URC staff. In addition to providing oversight, position may be required to provide assessments and work collaboratively with a treatment team to ensure clients receive proper care. Must have the ability to make a variety of administrative and clinical decisions and the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and train behavioral health staff, including therapists, case managers and direct care staff offering both administrative and clinical guidance.
Provide direct mental health services, conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
Utilize evidence-based interventions and a variety of assessment tools to meet clients’ needs.
Implement and monitor behavioral health programs and services ensuring staff adherence to best practices.

What We’re Looking For
- A licensed mental health professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar credentials) or someone currently pursuing licensure with approved supervision.
- Leadership experience and the ability to manage and guide a team effectively.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to ensure high-quality, accurate client evaluations.
- A commitment to providing top-notch mental health and substance abuse services in a supportive environment.
- Passion for ongoing professional development through robust training opportunities.
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field; and
- Must be a practitioner with a license to practice in the state issued by one of the following licensure boards: Psychology, Social Work (clinical specialty only); Professional Counselor; Marriage Family Therapist; Behavioral Practitioner; or Alcohol and Drug Counselor (Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LBP, LADC, LADC/MH) plus three (3) years of post-graduate experience in providing professional behavioral services to clients in a state approved facility or similar entity OR
- Must be actively and regularly receiving board approved supervision plus four (4) years of experience providing professional behavioral health services to clients in a state-approved facility or similar entity.

- Annual Salary: $78,000 - $85,995 (Salary range based on experience, tenure and certification)
- 5% Longevity Incentive at 1 Year and 3 Year DMHSAS service!
- Total Compensation over $100,000 includes base salary, retirement, and state-paid benefit allowance to help pay for your benefit elections! (based on the number of covered dependents - includes longevity payments)
