Job Description
Basic Purpose
Pool Attendants are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized pool area, assisting guests, and ensuring that all pool regulations are followed.
Pool Attendant Functions
This is an entry level position.
Education and Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Competencies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of recreational, athletic and group work principles and techniques; of the fundamentals and rules of common sports; and of first aid treatment techniques.
Special Requirements
Some positions may require shift work on rotating basis, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Job Description
Basic Purpose
Pool Attendants are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized pool area, assisting guests, and ensuring that all pool regulations are followed.
Pool Attendant Functions
- Responsible for testing pool for appropriate chemical levels- up to four times a day and logging the results.
- Checking in guests to the pool/splash pad area and verifying guests' accommodations.
- Basic concession skills, such as selling, making correct change, and keeping an updated inventory.
- Maintaining a par level of pool towels for guest.
- Supervises pool/splash pad area to eliminate possible injury.
- Maintains the overall cleanliness of the pool and splash pad area by cleaning up and taking out trash, straightening outdoor furniture, and cleaning restrooms.
- Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums, waxes, and polishes building floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, equipment, and hardware.
- Monitors safety of guests and pool/splash pad facilities; responses to injuries/illness, applies first aid, if needed, and contacts medical services for assistance as needed.
- Any other duties as direct by department head or general manager of the property.
