- Support the Central Purchasing team
- Salary up to: $75,000.00
- Consults with agency personnel concerning purchasing policies and procedures; conducts public relations activities.*
- Reviews state agencies’ internal purchasing procedures; ensures procedures meet requirements and provides guidance on purchasing best practices.*
- Reviews agency requests to establish fixed rate(s) for services; ensures that rates meet the established guidelines either in a primary or a backup capacity.*
- Central Purchasing Records coordinator; serves as the Central Purchasing liaison with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with regards to Central Purchasing records, record storage and disposition.
- Ensures consistency and standardization of division shared drives to reduce redundancy of documents and maintain correct format and structure.
- Coordinates the fulfillment of open records requests ensuring policies and procedures are followed.*
- Creates, develops, and modifies purchasing prescribed forms for Central Purchasing either in a primary or backup capacity.*
- Security provisioning of purchasing access; reviews agency requests for adjusted approval limits/roles and determines eligibility.
- Trains new employees in procurement compliance or as part of cross-training.
- Participates in studies of needs; advises on procurement processes and agency impact.
- Represents agency at various meetings; serves on special committees; makes recommendations to purchasing related issues, concerns, or topics.
- Other duties as assigned based on immediate needs of the organization.

- This position works in a comfortable office setting for a large percentage of the workday.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. If telework is available, employee must follow the telework guidelines.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift paper and office supplies and to perform job duties on a computer and telephone for 6 – 8 hours per day.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of procurement related experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting additional qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.
- Required to achieve certification as a State of Oklahoma Procurement Officer or must attain certification within 90 days of employment.
