Job Description
Recovery Support Specialist
OCCIC/OCRU is looking for a motivated Recovery Support Specialist to join their expanding Community Response Team (CRT). CRT is a team consisting of case managers and recovery support specialists who provide follow-up, crisis intervention, maintain and build partnerships with community agencies, and referrals within the community. The goal is to reduce recidivism and bridge the gap between the crisis center and our community partners. This position will float between both facilities and assist in the outreach and engagement with the Oklahoma County Court Ordered Outpatient Treatment Program (CO-OP) to provide support to the court, providers and consumers to ensure success within this program.
About the Facility: Come join a highly skilled multi-discipline team of professionals providing care to high risk individuals in facilities located in the heart of the metro area. OCCIC is a 16 bed crisis unit with an attached 15 chair Urgent Care Center (URC) which acts as the assessment hub for many crisis beds across the state. The URC provides up to 24 hours of crisis intervention and related services for individuals needing behavioral health services. OCRU is a 16 bed crisis unit who receives direct admissions from OCCIC's URC.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.

- Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr)
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr)
- Recovery Support Specialist: $30,000.00 ($14.43.02/hr)
- In addition to salary, as a state employee you will receive a benefits allowance that covers the majority of the cost of your benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, disability, etc. This means most, if not all, of your salary goes to you!
- Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: This position requires that the application be currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, high school diploma or GED, demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery, and two years of PRSS experience.
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: This position requires that the application be currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, high school diploma or GED, and demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery.
- Recovery Support Specialist: This position requires a high school diploma or GED, demonstrates personal knowledge or advocacy in recovery, and the ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
- Requires the possession of a valid U.S. driver's license at the time of appointment. Willing to fulfill any job related travel normally associated with this position.
