About the Position: This position will be in Norman, OK at Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH). The individual selected for this position will be assigned responsibilities related to managing the billing/reimbursement process. This includes researching and reviewing claims and other information to identify possible third-party responsibilities and initiating appropriate action to recover funds paid for various medical expenses and other costs. This includes coordinating patient admissions to determine eligibility for benefits, maintaining enrollment with Medicaid, Medicare, and other third-party network providers, coordinating with payors, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. This position also completes billing cycles, updates patient accounts, and uses available resources to investigate claim situations and facilitate payments, gather support documentation to submit appeals, and analyze various reports.
Job Type/Salary
Level I: Two years of technical experience which included the processing and/or payment of insurance claims; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for one year only of the required experience.
Level II: Two years of technical experience which included the processing and/or payment of insurance claims and two years of experience in subrogation or reimbursement in an insurance setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for one year only of the required technical experience.
Level III: Two years of technical experience which included the processing and/or payment of insurance claims and four years of experience in subrogation or reimbursement in an insurance setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for one year only of the required technical experience. A current adjuster's license in the area of casualty/liability claims may substitute for two years of experience in subrogation or reimbursement in an insurance setting.
Preference may be given to individuals with experience in a medical or behavioral health office setting.

- Level II-$21.61 hourly/$44,940 yearly
- Level III-$23.92 hourly/ $49,750 yearly
- Primary Working Hours are M-F; 8-5
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
