Position Summary
Revenue Accountant Tech is an entry level position that will provide agency accounting/infrastructure support necessary to meet Federal and State financial reporting obligations. Employees are primarily responsible for performing routine entry level accounting work in maintaining financial accounting data in the accounts receivable office. This includes receiving and receipting payments in a timely manner, confirming and tracking receipt of said payments, and balancing payments received.
Position Responsibilities /Essential Functions
Education And Experience
One year of clerical or bookkeeping experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting completion of six semester hours in accounting or bookkeeping at an accredited college or university for each six months of the required experience or the completion of a vocational training course in accounting for the one year of experience.

This position is set in an office environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach. This position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computer and phone.

Position Responsibilities /Essential Functions
- Picks up mail daily from the mail room
- Opens Vital Records and miscellaneous mail, receives, identifies, and receipts Vital Records payments made to the agency, applying these payments to the correct funding as identified per application.
- Follows proper handling of PII (Personally Identifiable Information) guidelines.
- Reconciles and balances all receipted check/cash payments with reported totals on a daily basis.
- Shreds deposited checks
- Looks up records and receipts for program areas, as requested.
- Bundles receipts & applications for programs
- Assist customers at the cash window, take payments, contact program area as need to assist with any questions they may have
- Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

Knowledge is required in the use of office equipment such as calculators, personal computers, and copiers. Plus demonstrated ability to work independently and perform a wide range of accounting functions.
