Position: Immediately need an experienced Sterile Processing Tech for the 3 months of the contract.
Details:
Title: Sterile Processing Tech
Location: Oklahoma City
Duration: 13 weeks (Extending)
Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM; 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. 8 hours. 40 hours a week.
Pay rate: Lucrative pay Benefits Bonus.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
- Active HSPA or CBSPD license.
- COVID Vaccinated.
- BLS / CPR Preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform blood sampling and specimen collection using appropriate techniques.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of specimens.
- Process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow within the clinical laboratory.
- Stay updated on laboratory techniques, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in phlebotomy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in phlebotomizing with a strong understanding of blood sampling techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and specimen collection processing.
- Knowledge of anatomy to accurately locate veins for blood draws.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital or clinical laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Certification in phlebotomy or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
