What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contracted Registered Nurse (RN) for Child Welfare Assessments position at State of Oregon-Child Welfare?
This is a contract RN position with the State of Oregon- Child Welfare program. The selected candidate will maintain a home office and receive referrals for nursing assessments of children coming into foster care in the foster home by providing intake assessments, personal care assessments, RN delegation, CANS assessments and some case management for medically fragile kids in care. He/she would also serve as a resource for families, foster parents, and caseworkers by providing nursing assessments and consultation in a variety of settings-foster care, trial reunification, in-home cases, etc. This position covers Jackson and Josephine counties.
This is a part-time or full time contracted position with no benefits. RN's work by referral and set appointments with families to complete a variety of in-home and virtual assessments-some evening and weekend work may be necessary during school year. Ideal candidate will have pediatric nursing experience, 3-5 years of med/surg nursing experience, the ability to function independently and have some knowledge of ACE's and trauma informed care.
This role covers Lane county.
Must have reliable vehicle, equipment to complete the assessments. A state laptop and cell phone will be provided. Liability insurance is required. Apply with a current resume.
$72.00/hr includes travel and training time, mileage reimbursement provided.
