Job Description:
The Oregon Military Department is a state agency that supports the Oregon National Guard. You are NOT required to be a member of the Oregon National Guard to apply for this position.
The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for a Construction & Facilities Maintenance Supervisor 2. This is a permanent full-time state position located at Rees Training Center in Hermiston Oregon.
This position is Management Services and is not represented by a union.

What You Will be Doing
Serve as the Rees Training Center Facility Manager who will be responsible for providing the Training Center with the everyday services which include support for maintenance of facilities, equipment, utilities and grounds, security, safety, administrative support, environmental management and compliance, communications, purchasing, janitorial, postal services, physical security, safety, building maintenance, vehicle support when required. This position has responsibility for supervision and management of the operations and maintenance employees through a subordinate supervisor and direct supervision and management of administrative staff. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective operations of state and federally owned facilities and equipment within fiscal law and agency fiscal policies, and for carrying out the operations and maintenance goals and objectives of the agency.

Works in an office environment regularly exposed to sitting, conducting computer and telephone operations. Must wear a hard hat in construction areas. May conduct inspections from roofs, ladders and confined spaces. Subject to loud noise and unsanitary work conditions. Exposed to dust and blowing sand. Works in inclement weather. Follows all safety standards, policies and procedures. Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

completion of an accredited vocational-training or construction-training program related to the class concept.
