THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring its smooth and efficient functioning. You will monitor adherence to facility, agency, and library policies by both inmate workers and patrons while assisting them in accessing and using various library resources. You will provide guidance to inmate workers and support the librarian with tasks like training, scheduling, hiring, and managing the termination process for inmate workers. Additionally, you will oversee the general, law, and housing unit library services, coordinating daily inmate callouts for library access and ensuring proper accountability for authorized inmates in the library. You will also assist with circulating library materials, processing interlibrary loan requests, and ensuring that book requests are in line with the approved publication list. Your responsibilities will involve regular communication with both inmates and staff, addressing questions as they arise.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
Days off are to be determined.
