DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The primary responsibility of this position is to review applications submitted by facilities requesting to become licensed drug and alcohol treatment providers with the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, within an assigned region. Frequent travel to inspect drug and alcohol treatment facilities and recovery houses throughout the Commonwealth is a key function of this role. The employee is solely responsible for completing the first full renewal inspection and carrying a caseload of newly licensed drug and alcohol treatment facilities through the first full renewal inspection for each facility. Work includes the review and evaluation of drug and alcohol treatment providers' fiscal, organizational, administrative, and programmatic operations and activities through the review and analysis of the provider's documentation of their services and supports provided to individuals in recovery for substance use disorder.
This role also involves monitoring and evaluating drug and alcohol treatment providers' implementation of policy as required by regulation; determining regulatory compliance of each program's administration and services with state and federal standards, legal requirements, and departmental rules and regulations; and ensuring implementation of program improvements and recommending best practices to improve the quality of services being provided.
