Are you an electrician with specialized skills in high-voltage electrical systems? The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is looking for a High Voltage Electrician to join our team! DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a High Voltage Electrician, you will perform a variety of highly skilled tasks. This work includes installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical machinery, devices, and associated equipment. Work is performed on complex electrical machinery, splicing underground wires, testing standby generators, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure uninterrupted service. Safety is paramount, and you will be operating within strict procedural and safety guidelines to maintain state-of-the-art equipment. You will also maintain the efficient operation of various parts of an electrical generating and distribution system.
Work will be performed within the Harrisburg Capitol Complex, Governor's Residence, Lieutenant Governor's Residence, and the Regional Office Buildings. You will work at heights in excess of 60 feet while standing on very small platforms and in confined spaces including manholes and vaults. Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week)
- The work scheduled consists of a 5-day, 16-hour a day operation and is subject to shift work, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This is considered an essential position. You will be required to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
